Ocean Breeze Orchestra
Excellence in Strings Education
Indian Harbour Beach and the Brevard County community value the fine arts, including music performance. We are honored to be a small part of contributing to our local community in the area of performing arts by developing musicians in our Beginning and Intermediate Orchestras.
Ocean Breeze's Beginning Orchestra is for 5th and 6th grade students that have not yet taken Intermediate Orchestra. In this ensemble students learn playing technique, good practice habits, how to read notation, standard beginning orchestra literature, and a variety of character traits not limited to perseverance, self-discipline, and teamwork.
Our more advanced group in the Intermediate Orchestra which is geared toward 6th grade students that have successfully completed 5th grade Beginning Orchestra. This ensemble will continue to develop the young musician's sight-reading skills, expose them to more advanced literature, rehearsal habits, and character building traits. The goal for Orchestra students is to complete two full years of the program before moving up to the middle school level.
