About

Rachel Bowman, a native Floridian, began teaching in 2007.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Florida Atlantic University.  Mrs. Bowman began her education career in Polk County, where she taught middle school chorus, guitar ensemble, handbell choir, general music, and additionally brought her choir to perform for Disney’s Magic Music Days. She has taught in Brevard for four years and awarded Teacher of the Year by her school for the 2020-2021 school year.

Mrs. Bowman has co-presented for Brevard Public Schools Professional Development Sessions for her colleagues and continues her professional development as an active member of numerous professional organizations including NAfME, FMEA, FEMEA, and CFOC.  She is certified in First Steps in Music and completed her Orff Level I Certification this summer.

Over the last 14 years, Rachel has worked in various capacities in her church from Pre-School Children’s Director to Music Director, where she led ensembles and programs for children to adults. Mrs. Bowman has been married to her husband for 15 years and has three children (ages 9, 11, and 13). In her free time, she enjoys singing, travelling, going on cruises, painting, weightlifting, going to the beach, reading, and spending time with her family.

Fun Fact: Her oldest attended Kindergarten at OBE before their family relocated to the Midwest.
